Michael Grabner's hat trick leads the way as Moose stomp Chops 6-1

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Manitoba Moose allowed the first goal, but answered back with six straight, including five in the third period, to beat the Iowa Chops 6-1 in American Hockey League action Friday night.

Manitoba right winger Michael Grabner scored a hat trick in his return to the lineup after missing nine games to injury. Alexandre Bolduc, Mark Cullen and captain Mike Keane also tallied for the Moose.

Manitoba goaltender Cory Schneider stopped 32 of 33 shots to earn his 13th straight win.

David LeNeveu of the Chops gave up two goals on 18 shots before being forced to leave the game in the third period with an apparent lower body injury.

Jean-Philippe Levasseur took over and allowed four goals on six shots in just 13:40 of play.

Michel Ouellet had three assists for the Moose.
