Messier's power-play goal lifts Tri-City over Cougars 3-2 @NHLdotcom

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Jordan Messier's power-play goal lifted the Tri-City Americans to a 3-2 win against the Prince George Cougars on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Messier scored with 15.5 seconds left in regulation time. Adam Hughesman and Patrick Holland had the Americans (12-3-0) other goals.

Parker Stanfield and Dallas Jackson replied for the Cougars (3-11-0). Hudson Stemmel made 34 shots in his first ever WHL appearance.
