McNeill scores winner, IceHogs hand Bulldogs their fourth straight loss, 6-4
NHL.com @NHLdotcomROCKFORD, Ill. - Brandon Mashinter scored twice, and Mark McNeill had the winning goal along with two assists in the Rockford IceHogs 6-4 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs in American Hockey League action on Tuesday.
Joakim Nordstrom, Alex Broadhurst and Terry Broadhurst also scored for Rockford (22-21-6), which had period leads of 1-0 and 3-1.
McNeill's goal snapped a 4-4 tie.
Mashinter scored a power play goal in the second period to give the IceHogs a 3-1 lead, and he put the game away with an empty netter.
Sven Andrighetto had a goal and three assists for the Bulldogs (20-21-4), who lost their fourth in a row.
Greg Pateryn and Maxime Macenauer got the other Hamilton goals.
Jason LaBarbera made 21 saves for Rockford. Bulldogs goalie Dustin Tokarski finished with 18 saves.
The IceHogs were 1 for 4 on the power play, while Hamilton was 3 for 6.
