Maxwell scores twice as Everett Silvertips swat Moose Jaw 5-1 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Tyler Maxwell scored twice leading the Everett Silvertips to a 5-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Chris de la Lande, Chris Langkow and Scott MacDonald also scored for Everett (36-19-3). Thomas Heemskerk earned the win in goal, making 26 saves.

Quinton Howden scored for Moose Jaw (27-22-8), which was unable to help its playoff cause.

The Warriors dropped into a tie with Swift Current for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, with Prince Albert lurking one point behind.

Moose Jaw goalie Brandon Glover was pulled in the second period after allowing three goals on 14 shots. Jeff Bosch stopped 11 of 13 in relief.
