Matt Clarke scores late goal to lift London over Sarnia 4-3 @NHLdotcom

SARNIA, Ont. - Matt Clarke scored a power-play goal for London with just 27 seconds left in the third period as the Knights beat the Sarnia Sting 4-3 in the OHL teams' annual New Year's Eve game.

Clarke's goal, his second of the game, was the only scoring play of the third period.

Nazem Kadri and Jason Wilson also scored for London, which stayed atop the Midwest Division at 28-7-0-1.

Matt Martin, Justin DiBenedetto and Ben O'Quinn scored for the Sting who dropped to 18-16-2-2.

Knights goalie Trevor Cann made 34 saves for the win while at the other end Dan Spence stopped 29 shots.
