Martin's three-point effort helps Sarnia sting the Rangers 7-4 @NHL

SARNIA, Ont. - Matt Martin scored twice and added an assist as the Sarnia Sting downed the Kitchener Rangers 7-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Justin DiBenedetto had a goal and two assists, Jesse Stoughton had a goal and an assist, while Steve Reese, Michael Neal and Chris Beauchamp added goals for Sarnia (27-22-3-3).

Chris MacKinnon scored a pair, Jason Akeson had a goal and an assist and Alex Aleardi also scored for the Rangers (26-28-2-2).

Dan Spence made 26 saves for the Sting. Kitchener starter Parker Van Buskirk was chased from the net five minutes into the second period after allowing five goals on 18 shots. Mike Morrison stopped 14 of 16 in replacement.

The start of the game was delayed until 8:30 due to ice conditions.
