Martin St. Louis scores in OT to lead Lightning to 5-4 win over Thrashers @NHLdotcom

ATLANTA (AP) - Martin St. Louis scored with 1:16 left in overtime Thursday night to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 5-4 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers and into first place in the Southeast Division.

St. Louis fired a shot from the left circle past Johan Hedberg, giving the Lightning 73 points - one point more than the Thrashers. Brad Richards, Erric Perrin, Vincent Lecavalier and Andrew Roy also scored for Tampa Bay, which trailed Atlanta by 16 points in early January.

Steve McCarthy, Eric Belanger, Eric Boulton and Marian Hossa scored goals for the Thrashers, who couldn't hold leads of 2-0 and 3-1. The Lightning rallied with three goals in the second period, and Roy's third-period goal forced the overtime.

The Thrashers have lost five of six, while the Lightning are 9-1-1 in their last 11 road games.
