Marlies blow two-goal lead, fall to Monsters 4-3 in overtime @NHLdotcom

CLEVELAND - Colin Smith scored 5:04 into overtime as the Lake Erie Monsters came from behind to defeat the visiting Toronto Marlies 4-3 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Ben Street and Mitchell Heard also scored for the Monsters (21-16-7), while Andrew Agozzino's goal at 18:56 of the third period forced extra time.

Troy Bodie, Matt Frattin and Viktor Loov supplied the offence for the Marlies (18-18-9), who led 3-1 midway through the third period.

Frazer McLaren, in just his sixth game of the season after missing over a month with an injury, picked up an assist on Loov's goal. It was his first AHL regular-season point since recording an assist in October of 2012 while a member of the Worcester Sharks.

Lake Erie's Calvin Pickard made 23 saves for the win as Antoine Bibeau kicked out 35-of-39 shots for Toronto.

The Monsters went 1 for 3 on the power play while the Marllies failed to connect on their only chance with the man advantage.
