TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without right wing David Clarkson and center Tyler Bozak when they take the ice Saturday for their first scheduled training camp scrimmages.
Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said Friday through the team's public relations department that Clarkson and Bozak are day-to-day and their status will be updated Saturday. The team did not reveal any specific injuries that the two players are dealing with.
Clarkson and Bozak were not on the ice Friday for fitness testing.
Bozak had 49 points in 58 games last season. Clarkson is trying to come back from a difficult season, his first in Toronto; he had 11 points in 60 games and missed the first 10 games because of a suspension.
