Magnus with three points to lead the Broncos over the Blades 7-3 @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - Christian Magnus scored twice and assisted one more as the Swift Current Broncos beat the host Saskatoon Blades 7-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Graham Black had a goal and two assists for the Broncos (27-37-8), Coda Gordon and Brad Hoban each had a goal and an assist while Adam Rossignol and Josh Derko added single goals.

Ryon Moser chipped in with three assists.

Jake Trask, Matej Stranksy and Brett Stovin each scored for the Blades (40-29-3), who finish the season as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Jon Groenheyde made 23 saves for the win as Andrey Makarov allowed five goals on 30 shots before getting pulled after 40 minutes.

Patrick Johnson stopped five of seven shots in relief.

Swift Current failed to earn a power-play chance all game while Saskatoon went 1 for 4 with the man advantage.
