Luongo eliminated at World Series of Poker

Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo was knocked out of the World Series of Poker main event tournament Friday, according to the Vancouver Sun.

The newspaper says Luongo finished in 634th place, earning $19,227 from a $10,000 buy-in.

Luongo lasted four days in the tournament, which started with almost 6,600 players. The preliminary tournament in Las Vegas sets the field for the World Series of Poker final table, held in October.

Luongo started Friday with 92,000 chips. Leaders had more than 1 million.

Luongo's brother Fabio began play Friday with 320,000 chips.
