London Knights down Guelph Storm 4-1, clinch OHL's Midwest Division

LONDON, Ont. - Jared Knight scored twice Thursday as the London Knights downed the Guelph Storm 4-1 to clinch first in the Ontario Hockey League's Midwest Division.

Seth Griffith and Andreas Athanasiou had the other goals for London, while Michael Houser made 35 saves. Max Domi added two assists.

Jason Dickinson scored for Guelph, which got 43 saves from Garret Sparks.

Knight snapped the winner past Sparks from the left wing at 6:12 of the second period.

London (46-16-1) has 93 points and division-rival Kitchener can only reach 92 if the Rangers will their last six games.

The Storm (27-30-6) entered the third with a two-man advantage, but trailed 2-0. Dickinson's 11th of the season made it a one-goal deficit just 41 seconds into the final period.

Knight restored the two-goal lead at 2:38 and Athanasiou put the game out of reach with less than two minutes to go in the third.

Guelph is winless in five games versus London, scoring just once in each contest.
