London jumps out to 5-0 lead, holds on for 6-3 win over Oshawa @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Phil Varone and John Carlson each had a goal and an assist as the London Knights jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on for a 6-3 win over the Oshawa Generals in OHL action Sunday.

London scored four times in the first 11:28, driving rookie goalie Kevin Bailie from the net and handing him his first defeat in five starts.

Kale Kerbashian, Jared Knight, Steven Tarasuk and Matt Clarke scored the other London (6-3-0-1) goals. Nazem Kadri picked up three assists.

Jeff Brown, Conor Stokes and John Tavares, with his league-leading 12 goal of the season, replied for Oshawa (6-5-0-0).

Jason Guy was in goal for the Knights, who outshot the Generals 38-34. Daryl Borden relieved Bailie, allowing two goals on 28 shots.
