Locke scores twice, including overtime winner, as Colts edge Petes @NHLdotcom

BARRIE, Ont. - Eric Locke scored in overtime as the Barrie Colts edged the Peterborough Petes 6-5 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.

After having missed the first four games of the season with an injury, Locke had a pair of goals for Barrie (3-1-1), while Brandon Devlin, Zach Hall, Gregg Sutch and Colin Behenna added singles.

Tanner Pearson chipped in with three assists for the Colts.

Joey West, Nick Ritchie, Slater Koekkoek, Austin Watson and Matt Puempel replied for Peterborough (3-0-2), which suffered its first loss to Barrie after sweeping the season series with the Colts last year.

The game saw the first matchup of the top two picks in last year?s OHL Priority Selection Draft, Barrie's Aaron Ekblad and Ritchie, go head-to-head.

Barrie struck twice with the man advantage, going 2-for-9 on the night. Peterborough went 2-for-5 on the power play.

Mathias Niederberger made 44 saves for the win, including stopping 28 shots in the third period alone.

Mike Morrison turned aside 30 shots in defeat.
