REGINA - Linden Rowat made 22 stops for the shut out, his third of the year, as the Regina Pats blanked the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-0 in the WHL Friday night.
The loss marks Edmonton's (20-36-4-7) fifth in a row and fourth of the season to the Pats (41-21-4-2).
Big blue-liner Colten Teubert got the scoring started for Regina at 5:32 of first with a snap shot from the point that fooled Edmonton goalie Dalyn Flette low stick side. Assisting on the play was Tim Kraus and Michael MacAngus.
Just past the midway mark of the second Teubert was in on the action again with another nice play from the point. After taking a pass from partner Victor Bartley, Teubert wound up for a slap shot then slid a hard pass to Scott Doucet who redirected it home to make it a 2-0 game. The power play goal was Doucet's 15th of the year.
At the 9:49 mark of the third Brett Leffler added one more for Regina when he tucked a wicked wrist shot under the crossbar for his ninth of the season.
