Lieuwan with 31 saves as the Ice down the Tigers 3-2 @NHLdotcom

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Drew Czerwonka scored the winning goal with 4:44 remaining in the third period as the Kootenay Ice edged the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

John Neibrandt and Brock Montgomery also scored for the Ice (20-9-3).

Emerson Etem and Trevor Cox scored for the Tigers (18-12-4).

Nathan Lieuwen turned away 31 shots for the win while Kenny Cameron made 32 saves in defeat.

Neither team could score on the power play as Kootenay went 0-for-1 and Medicine Hat 0-for-3.
