Lethbridge Hurricanes beat Calgary Hitmen 6-5 in WHL action @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Jay Merkley had two goals and an assist and Brody Sutter also scored twice Friday as the Lethbridge Hurricanes defeated the Calgary Hitmen 6-5 in the Western Hockey League.

Cam Braes, with a goal and an assist, and Juraj Bezuch also scored for the Hurricanes (2-1-0).

Macoy Erkamps and Matt Marantz added two assists, while Brandon Anderson made 42 saves.

Justin Kirsch scored twice for Calgary (0-2-0), while Victor Rask added a goal and an assist. Jimmy Bubnick and Alex Gogolev had the other goals.

Mike Snider finished with 31 saves in defeat.
