Legwand helps Senators rally past Canadiens @NHLdotcom

David Legwand scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with 1:14 remaining, and the Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-2 in a preseason game at Bell Centre on Saturday.

Ottawa tied the game on a power-play goal by Mika Zibanejad 8:19 into the third. Curtis Lazar scored into an empty net.

Max Pacioretty and Andrei Markov scored in the first period for Montreal after Mike Hoffman gave Ottawa a 1-0 lead.

Craig Anderson made 26 saves for the Senators, who finished the preseason 4-2-1. Ottawa beings the regular season Oct. 9 at the Nashville Predators.

Carey Price made 25 saves for the Canadiens, who went 4-2-1. They open at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 8.

Canadiens right wing PA Parenteau sustained a lower-body injury in the first period and did not return.
