Kootenay's Skapski makes 28 saves in a 3-1 win over Prince Albert Raiders @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Mackenzie Skapski made 28 saves and the Kootenay Ice scored two third-period goals in a 3-1 win over the Prince Albert Raiders in WHL action on Saturday night.

Drew Czerwonka and Joey Leach each had a goal and an assist while Jesse Ismond scored the eventual winner. Max Reinhart had three assists for the Ice (6-2-2).

The Ice opened the scoring in the second period on a power play as Leach scored with a slap shot from the point.

Less than two minutes later the Raiders (3-7-2) scored on the power play as Todd Fiddler got a second rebound chance and scored from the middle slot.

Early in the third period the Ice took a 2-1 lead as Ismond stumbled to the crease and dribbled it through.

The Ice made it 3-1 midway through the third period as Czerwonka banged in his own rebound through the goalies? legs.
