Kellan Tochkin scores twice to lead Raiders to 5-2 win over Blazers @NHL

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Kellan Tochkin scored twice as the Prince Albert Raiders beat the Kamloops Blazers 5-2 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Mike Winther had a goal and two assists for the Raiders (11-22-3), while Brandon Herrod and Shane Danyluk also scored.

Prince Albert head coach Steve Young was impressed with Tochkin's two goals.

"He played well," said Young. "Since he and (Mark) McNeill have been put on a line they've gelled together and they've done some good things. They feed off each other and that's the type of guy Tochkin is. He's putting up points in the league."

Tim Bozon and Brendan Ranford replied for the Blazers (22-9-1).

Young also thought his team played a solid sixty minutes.

"I thought that we came out strong and everybody contributed early. We knew playing Kamloops that we had to play a full game against them and for the most part I think we did that," said Young.

Cole Holowenko made 29 saves for the Raiders. Cole Cheveldave stopped 34 shots for the Blazers.
