SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio's Brett MacLean scored the game's lone goal and Josh Tordjman made 23 saves as the Rampage defeated the Manitoba Moose 1-0 Sunday night in the AHL.
The Rampage's 16-4 shot lead quickly translated into a goal lead at 7:04 into the second stanza. With a scramble in front of Moose goalie Karl Goehring, MacLean found the back of the net, putting his team ahead for good.
The two clubs' exchanged penalties near the midway point of the game, but neither team could maximize on their respective opportunities. More than doubling up the Moose in shots - 25-9 - the Rampage (5-20-1) held onto their one goal lead entering the final frame.
With Goehring out of his net and the Moose equipped with an extra-attacker, the Moose peppered Tordjman in the final minute to try and knot the game.
Goehring blocked 29 of 30 attempts for Manitoba (17-6), which will carry a two-game skid into Friday's home game versus Grand Rapids.
