Johnson scores twice, adds assist as Spokane routs the Winter Hawks 7-1 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Tyler Johnson scored twice and added an assist to pace the Spokane Chiefs to a 7-1 rout over the Portland Winter Hawks in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Spokane (26-14-0-3) scored five unanswered goals in the third period to break the game open. The Chiefs got multiple point games from Ondrej Roman (goal and two assists), Mitch Wahl (goal and an assist), and Levko Koper (two assists). Kenton Miller, Ryan Letts and Drayson Bowman also scored for Spokane.

Travis Ehrhardt scored the only goal for Portland (12-29-1-2), on the power play.

Chiefs goalie Dustin Tokarski made 30 saves, while Kurtis Mucha stopped 25 shots.
