John Tavares continued his hot streak with his new team Monday, scoring twice and adding an assist to lead the London Knights to a 4-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers.
Tavares has seven goals and two assists in his first three games with the Knights, who acquired the star forward from the Oshawa Generals earlier this month.
London is 9-0-0-1 in its last 10 games.
Phil McRae added a goal and two assists while John Carlson also scored for the Knights (34-8-0-2), who got a 29-save performance from goaltender Trevor Cann.
Matt Caria and Leo Jenner scored for Plymouth (21-20-4-0), who had its three-game winning streak snapped. Matt Hackett, playing against his hometown team, stopped 37 shots in the Plymouth net.
