John Tavares has goal, three assists as Generals down Bulls 5-2 @NHL

OSHAWA, Ont. - John Tavares had a goal and three assists as the Oshawa Generals scored five times on the power play in a 5-2 win over the Belleville Bulls.

Brett Parnham added two goals for the Generals (14-11-0-4), the only two scored in the first period.

Defencemen Michael Del Zotto and Calvin de Haan chipped in with three points each, including a goal from Del Zotto. Kory Nagy also scored for Oshawa.

Matthew Tipoff and Nick Palmieri replied for the Bulls (20-8-2-2), both on the power play, where Belleville was 2-for-5.

The Generals were 5-for-6 with the man advantage.

Neil Conway picked up the win in goal as the Generals outshot the Bulls 32-29.

Rookie Philipp Grubauer made just his eighth start in net for Belleville.
