Jimmy Bubnick scores the shootout winner as Kamloops beats Vancouver 2-1 @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Shayne Wiebe and Jimmy Bubnick scored shootout goals Friday night as the Kamloops Blazers beat the Vancouver Giants 2-1 Western Hockey League action Friday.

Wiebe scored in the second period for Kamloops (5-1-0-0), while Craig Cunningham tied it for Vancouver (4-1-0-2) four minutes into the third.

Wiebe and Vancouver's James Henry exchanged shootout goals before Bubnick scored on a wrist shot high to the glove side of goaltender Jamie Tucker.

Kamloops goaltender Justin Leclerc then stopped Mike Piluso to win it.

Leclerc stopped 47 shots for the win, while Tucker turned aside 27 shots in the loss.
