Jeremy Smith makes 37 saves for the shutout as Plymouth beats Mississauga @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Jeremy Smith turned aside 37 shots leading the Plymouth Whalers to a 3-0 whitewash over the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors in Friday night Ontario Hockey League action.

Smith, a 2007 second-round Nashville pick, notched his second consecutive shutout after having blanked Niagara Nov. 1. Plymouth (11-6-1-0) has won five straight games.

Kaine Geldart, Andrew Fournier and Patrick Lee scored for the Whalers, while Chris Terry chipped in two assists.

Mississauga (7-9-1-0) got 33 saves from rookie goalie Anthony Grieco.
