Jenner scores in overtime as Oshawa Generals nip Peterborough Petes 4-3 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Boone Jenner scored short-handed, 2:27 into overtime, to lift the Oshawa Generals to a 4-3 win over the Peterborough Petes in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Emerson Clark, Daniel Pachis and Andy Andreoff also scored for the Generals (18-19-4), who gave up a 3-1 lead late in the third period before pulling off the win in overtime.

Defenceman Calvin de Haan, in his first game since the World Junior Hockey Championships, assisted on Jenner's winner and one other in the game.

Brett Theberge, Matt Puempel and Ryan Spooner scored for the Petes (20-20-3).

The game was marred by a heavy hit from the Petes' Zack Kassian that saw Oshawa's Nick Esposto leave the ice on a stretcher. There was no penalty called on the play.

The Generals out-shot the Petes 4-1 in overtime, despite a delay of game penalty to captain Jeff Hayes.

Kevin Bailie earned his second straight win in goal for the Generals.

Jason Missiaen was in net for Peterborough.
