J.P. Anderson stops 31 shots, solid in shootout as Majors edge Frontenacs 2-1 @NHLdotcom

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - J.P. Anderson made 31 saves and stopped all three attempts in the shootout to backstop the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a 2-1 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.

Dylan Demelo scored the lone shootout goal for Mississauga (5-0-0), the only undefeated team in the OHL Eastern Conference.

Sergey Kuptsov scored his first career OHL goal for the Majors on a 5-on-3 power play in the first period.

Tyler Brown scored for Kingston (1-4-1) to tie the game at one with 26 seconds left in regulation.

Frontenacs goalie Igor Bobkov stopped 25 shots, including a penalty shot from Junior Harris in the second period.

The Majors went 1-for-4 on the power play while the Frontenacs went 0-for-6.

Note to readers: This is a corrected story. A previous version stated Eric Diodati scored in the shootout instead of Dylan Demelo.
