Islanders coach clipped by puck, misses OT winner @NHLdotcom

The New York Islanders wrapped up their five-game trip by beating the New Jersey Devils 5-4 in overtime Thursday night, but coach Jack Capuano wasn't around to see the winning goal.

Capuano was helped off the bench midway through the third period when a clearing attempt by Islanders rookie Casey Cizikas clipped him in the face. Capuano was seen after the game with a stitched-up cut over his left eye and was able to meet with the media.

Games against the Devils this season have been hazardous to Capuano's health. He had to miss New Jersey's visit to Nassau Coliseum on opening night at the last minute when he was hospitalized for treatment of kidney stones.
