Dupuis will no longer play because of blood clots
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis will no longer play hockey because of a medical condition related to blood clots, Dupuis and the Penguins announced Tuesday.

Couture will return for Sharks against Flames
San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. Couture has missed the past 23 games with a fractured right fibula sustained in a practice at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Oct. 15.

Maple Leafs want to win for Lamoriello against Devils
Lou Lamoriello's Toronto Maple Leafs will host his former organization, the New Jersey Devils, at Air Canada Centre on Tuesday. It is the first game between the teams since Lamoriello, 73, left the Devils and became the Maple Leafs general manager over the summer.

Red Wings' Green back in Washington to face Capitals
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green has already played against his former team, the Washington Capitals, twice this season. He'll return to the Verizon Center for the first time since signing with the Red Wings during the offseason Tuesday.

NHL to end coach and executive compensation policy
The NHL's coach and executive compensation policy will be eliminated Jan. 1, Commissioner Gary Bettman said Tuesday following the completion of the Board of Governors meeting.
