Hurricanes activate LaRose, place Eaves on injured reserve

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Hurricanes activated center Chad LaRose from injured reserve Friday and placed right wing Patrick Eaves on the injured list.

LaRose started Friday night against Atlanta. He missed 21 games after breaking his leg Feb. 5 at Nashville. He has seven goals and 10 assists in 53 games.

Eaves had surgery on his left shoulder and is expected to miss up to three weeks.
