SASKATOON - Derek Hulak had a goal and two assists as the Saskatoon Blades made short work of the Kamloops Blazers, outshooting them 49-24 en route to a 4-1 victory Saturday night in the Western Hockey League.
Sam Klassen and Walker Wintoneak opened the scoring Saskatoon (9-3-2) with first-period power play goals less than two minutes apart. Stefan Elliot also scored.
Jake Trask got one back for the Blazers (8-7-2) in the third period but it wasn't enough to muster a comeback.
Steven Stanford made 23 saves for the Blades, while Kamloops netminder Justin Leclerc stopped 45 shots.
