Howse scores twice as Bruins reduce Americans' series lead to 2-1 @NHLdotcom

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Ryan Howse scored two goals and Lucas Gore made 48 saves, and the Chilliwack Bruins hammered the Tri-City Americans 5-1 in Western Hockey League playoff action Tuesday.

The Americans, who finished the regular season as the top team in the Western Conference, still lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 is Wednesday in Chilliwack.

Dylen McKinlay had a goal and two assists for Chilliwack, while Kevin Sundher and Jamie Crooks also scored.

Brendan Shinnimin replied for Tri-City.

Drew Owsley and Alexander Pechurskiy combined for 26 saves for the Americans.
