Howden scores twice as Warriors rally for 7-6 win over Portland Winterhawks @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Quinton Howden scored his second goal of the game at 17:53 of the third period to complete a 7-6 Warriors comeback as Moose Jaw defeated the Portland Winterhawks on Monday afternoon in the Western Hockey League.

Moose Jaw (28-22-8) also had a big night from Dylan McIlrath, with a goal and two assists and Thomas Frazee, with two assists against his former team. Ryan Stanton, Antonin Honejsek, Brendan Rowinski and Spencer Edwards also scored for Moose Jaw.

The Warriors were down by two goals 54 seconds into the third period, but scored the final three goals of the game.

Portland (37-21-3) had goals from Chris Francis, Riley Boychuk, Stefan Schneider, Ty Rattie while Joe Morrow netted a pair in the losing effort. Boychuck and Francis also each added an assist and Taylor Aronson picked up two assists on the night.

Warriors goalie Jeff Bosch made 33 saves, while Ian Curtis stopped 16 shots before being replaced at 8:12 of the second period. Mac Carruth made 19 saves.
