Howden scores twice and adds assist, Warriors take 2-2 series lead over Pats @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Quinton Howden had two goals and an assist to lead the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 5-3 game three victory over the Regina Pats in Western Hockey League playoff action Tuesday night.

The Warriors took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series. Game 4 is Wednesday in Regina.

Joel Edmundson, Kenton Miller, and Brayden Point also scored for the Warriors, while James Henry added two assists.

Lane Scheidl had two goals for Regina and Chandler Stephenson had a goal and an assist.

Moose Jaw was without agitator Cody Beach, who was suspended for one game for making derogatory remarks towards the Pats bench in game two.

The Warriors did all their damage in the first period, scoring twice before the game was a minute old and adding three more before the period was through.

Regina managed to stop the frenzy and grind for a late first period goal and two more in the third.

In the end the Warriors went one for four on the power play while shutting Regina out on three opportunities with the extra man.

Luke Siemens made 33 saves for Moose Jaw. Matt Hewitt stopped 25 shots for the Pats.
