CALGARY - The Calgary Flyers continued their perfect start the Esso Cup on Wednesday by defeating the Westman Wildcats 6-3 in a battle of unbeaten team.
The hosts of the national female midget championship sit on top of the standings with a 4-0 record. Brittany Styner had two goals and an assist for Calgary, while Emily Harrison scored once and added assist. Bailey Toupin made 24 saves in the win.
Elsewhere at the Esso Cup it was: Scarborough 4 Northern Stars 2.
Sadie Lenstra, Ferran Brown and Erin Lally also scored for the Flyers.
Megan Bailey, Amy Lee and Jenna-Marie Durnin replied for Westman (2-1). Brittany Phillips added two assists, while Tara Lacquette finished with 16 saves in the loss.
The Westman round play Scarborough on Thursday.

Annie Shapero, Gillian Beggs and Megan Wickens each had a goal and an assist as Scarborough broke into the win column and took a step towards Friday's semifinals with a win over the Northern Stars.
Alyssa Sherrard and Julie Breau replied for the Stars (0-3).
Marissa Kozovski made 16 saves in the win for Scarborough (1-2), while Stars goalie Kristy Dobson made 43 saves in defeat.
The Sharks will look to cement their semifinal status on Thursday when they wrap up round robin play against Westman. Meanwhile, Stars will look for that elusive first when the play the Edmonton Thunder.
