MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Cody Hodgson and Scott Tanski combined for three goals and six points sparking the Brampton Battalion to a 4-0 victory over the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Matt Clark scored the other goal for Brampton (23-25-13). Goaltender Patrick Killeen registered his second shutout in as many nights, handling only 14 shots.

Chris Carrozzi stopped 16 shots in the Mississauga (38-17-6) net.

Hodgson, who missed Brampton's first 50 games of the season while recovering from a herniated disc injury suffered in the off-season, had a goal and two assists.

Tanski, Hodgson's linemate, scored twice and added an assist as Brampton solidified its hold on fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

"We're having a lot of fun right now," said Hodgson, whose short-handed goal early in the second period was his sixth since returning to the Brampton lineup on Feb. 4. "We're playing pretty solid defensively. We've been pretty good lately in our own end."

Hodgson followed up his goal by setting up Tanski for Brampton's third and fourth goals of the game. Tanski's second of the night and 12th of the season was also scored while the Battalion was killing a penalty.

It was Killeen's third shutout of the month and fifth of the season. Killeen, who turned aside 38 shots in blanking Sudbury on Thursday night, has not allowed a goal in 142 minutes, 23 seconds.
