Hickman scores twice to lead the Thunderbirds overthe Hitmen 5-4 @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Justin Hickman scored twice to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-4 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action on Friday.

Marcel Noebels and Burke Gallimore had a goal and an assist each for the Thunderbirds (7-10-0) while Connor Sanvido scored the other Thunderbirds goal.

Alex Gogolev and Danny Gayle each put up a goal and two assists for the Hitmen (8-9-2). Alex Roach, with his first of the season, and Brady Brassart also scored for Calgary.

Seattle goalie Calvin Pickard stopped 23-of-27 shots he faced to improve his record to 7-9-0.

Calgary netminder Chris Driedger started in net but was pulled after allowing four goals on 15 shots through one period.

Brandon Glover made 11 saves in relief but was tagged with the loss as a result of allowing the game-winning goal to Hickman at 19:47 of the second period.
