Hayes makes 20 saves as Wheat Kings earn 5-0 shutout over Wheat Kings @NHL

BRANDON, Man. - Andrew Hayes made 20 saves for the Brandon Wheat Kings' first shutout of the Western Hockey League season in a 5-0 victory over the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night.

Nathan Green, Mark Stone, Matt Calvert and Brayden Schenn and Colby Robak scored for the Wheat Kings, who improved to 35-15-3-1. Calvert added three assists, while Stone and Schenn picked up two assists each for the Wheat Kings.

Brandon played without leading scorer Scott Glennie, who was out nursing an elbow injury.

Darcy Kuemper stopped 10 of 14 shots for Red Deer before being replaced by Cam Gorchyski, who made five saves on six shots.

The Rebels fell to 17-27-1-7 with the loss.
