OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Ontario Hockey League scoring leader Taylor Hall added four more points to his total as the Windsor Spitfires pummelled the Owen Sound Attack 8-4 on Friday night.
After scoring his second hat trick of the season and adding an assist, Hall has 32 points (15 goals, 17 assists) in 15 games, six ahead of Plymouth Whaler Tyler Seguin. Hall, a top prospect eligible for the 2010 NHL draft, is on a six-game point streak, with seven goals and 15 points in that span.
Scott Timmins also scored a hat trick for Windsor (9-4-0), which leads the OHL with 23 points. Austen Brassard and Eric Wellwood added goals.
Marcus Carroll had a pair of goals for the Attack (4-8-3), while Grant McGee and Myles Doan also scored.
Troy Passingham made 26 saves for the Spitfires. Owen Sound netminder Scott Stajcer was pulled after allowing five goals on 31 shots. Jordan Binnington stopped 17 of 20 shots in replacement.
