Griffins score four unanswered goals in third period to beat Bulldogs 5-2

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins scored four goals in the third period to beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-2 in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

Brian Lashoff, Garnet Exelby, Landon Ferraro, Mitch Callahan and Francis Pare each scored for the Griffins (7-9-1).

Phil DeSimone and Brian Willsie, who scored short handed, gave the Bulldogs (6-9-2) a 2-1 lead in the second period.

Grand Rapids goaltender Tom McCollum made 23 saves for the win, while at the other end Robert Mayer stopped 30 shots.
