Greyhounds win 4-2 to sweep Spirit out of first-round playoffs @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Wayne Simmonds tiebreaking goal with less then two minutes in the second period lifted the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds over Saginaw 4-2 on Thursday, completing a OHL quarter-final sweep that eliminated the Spirit from post-season.

Dustin Jeffrey, Brandon Biggers and Anthony Peluso rounded out the scoring for the Greyhounds. Michael Quesnele had two assists. Chris Chappell and Nick Crawford tallied for Saginaw.

Kyle Gajewski played a solid game for the Greyhounds stopping 32 of 34 shots.

The Greyhounds next face the winner of the Guelph-London series. Guelph leads the series 3-1.
