Goodrow scores twice to lead the Battalion past the Storm 3-1

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Barclay Goodrow scored twice, including an empty net insurance goal, as the Brampton Battalion beat the Guelph Storm 3-1 Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Mitchell Porowski scored the game winner for the Battalion (10-6-2) with two minutes remaining in the third period.

Cody McNaughton was the lone goal scorer for the Storm (8-5-3).

Keegan Wilson stopped 21 shots for the win as Garret Sparks made 24 saves in defeat.

Guelph went 0-for-4 on the power play while Brampton capitalized on one of five opportunities with the man advantage.

The win brings the Battalion to within a point of the Central Division-leading Mississauga St. Michael?s Majors.
