Goalie Andrew Loverock solid in net as Niagara nips Saginaw 4-3 @NHLdotcom

NIAGARA, Ont. - Andrew Loverock stopped 43 of 46 shots, including a late-game Saginaw rally to help lift the Niagara IceDogs over the Spirit 4-3 in OHL action on Sunday.

Stefan Legein, Andrew Agozzino, Alex Pietrangelo and Jordan Foreman each tallied for Niagara (5-1-0-0), with Michael Swift assisting on short-handed goals by Agozzino and Pietrangelo.

Saginaw's special were in full force, with all three of the Spirits' goals coming on the power play. Ryan McDonough scored twice and Adam Comrie netted a late, third-period marker to pull the Spirit within one.

Saginaw's Parker Van Buskirk was no slouch in net either, stopping 38 of 42 shots for the loss, which drops the Spirit to 2-2-1-1.
