Giants score five straight goals in 5-1 WHL victory over Bruins

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Kevin Connauton and Neil Manning each had a goal and an assist as the Vancouver Giants scored five unanswered goals and beat the Chilliwack Bruins 5-1 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Lance Bouma, Nathan Burns and Mike Piluso also had goals for the Giants, who scored four times in the third period.

Colton Grant opened the scoring for Chilliwack on a penalty shot.

Jamie Tucker made 20 saves for Vancouver (14-6-3) while Mark Friesen stopped 23 shots for Chilliwack (8-11-4).
