Gendur's tiebreaker in third period helps Silvertips down Cougars 4-2 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Dan Gendur broke a tie with a power-play goal early in the third period, and the Everett Silvertips defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-2 Friday night in WHL action.

Gendur, Shane Harper and Vitaly Karamnov each had a goal and an assist for Everett (30-25-0-2), which snapped a five-game losing streak. Zach Hamill also scored and Leland Irving made 25 saves in goal for the Silvertips.

Cody Hobbs and Dana Tyrell scored - Tyrell on a penalty shot - for Prince George (15-36-1-3), which lost its third straight. Real Cyr stopped 30 shots in goal for the Cougars.
