Gallimore's pair leads Saskatoon to victory over the Red Deer Rebels @NHLdotcom

RED DEER, Alta. - Burke Gallimore scored two goals, including the game-winner in the final minute of the first period, as the Saskatoon Blades held on to beat the Red Deer Rebels 4-2 in Western Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Five of the six goals were scored in the first period, with the only other marker coming on the power play in the last minute of the third, when Travis Toomey put the game away for Saskatoon.

Walker Wintoneak opened the scoring for the Blades (6-4-0-0) while shorthanded. Cass Mappin and Cody Esposito replied for Red Deer (3-4-0-3).

Braden Holtby made 25 saves for Saskatoon, while Rebels netminder Darcy Kuemper stopped 25 shots in defeat.
