Friesen scores twice as Niagara hands Oshawa sixth straight loss, 3-1

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Alex Friesen scored twice to help the Niagara IceDogs down the Oshawa Generals 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.

Simon Gronvaldt scored the other goal for Niagara (19-29-6) with assists from Andrew Shaw and Reggie Traccitto. Tony DeHart capitalized on a power play in the third period to reply for the Generals (21-28-5), who have lost six in a row.

Mark Visentin stopped 28 shots for the IceDogs while Michael Zador made 36 saves for the Generals.

A power outage delayed the start of the third period for over an hour.
