The Calgary Flames have recalled forward Ben Hanowski from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins with Kenny Agostino and the Penguins' first-round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft in a trade for Jarome Iginla on March 27, 2013, Hanowski has 12 goals and 14 assists (26 points) with Abbotsford in his first full season as a professional.

Hanowski signed an entry-level contract with the Flames on April 12, 2013 and played five games with Calgary last season, when he scored his first NHL goal in his debut. He was Pittsburgh's third-round pick (No. 63) in the 2009 draft.
