Flyers G Boucher hurt in 2nd period vs. Bruins @NHLdotcom

BOSTON (AP) -Philadelphia Flyers goalie Brian Boucher (BOO-shay) is out of Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against Boston because of an apparent knee injury.

Boucher skated off the ice favoring his left knee with 15:25 left in the second period. He was hurt when two players fell on him while pursuing a loose puck in the crease.

He stayed on the ice, and the referee quickly waved to the Flyers bench.

Boucher was replaced by Michael Leighton, who is making his first career playoff appearance. He hadn't been in a game since March 16.

Boucher has a 2.43 goals-against average in the playoffs. The Flyers need a victory in Game 5 to stay alive in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series.
